If your CCTV recorder (NVR) starts beeping, it’s almost always a warning that the hard drive has failed. This is the part of your system that stores all recorded footage — and without it, nothing is being saved.
How to check:
Try to access the playback menu. If there’s no footage available, that confirms the drive has failed.
Unfortunately, the beeping cannot be silenced without addressing the issue — and since your system isn’t recording anyway, the best course of action is to power the system down and call a professional.
If you’re in Auckland, Lowkey Security can replace the faulty drive and get your system recording again quickly. Don’t leave your property unprotected — reach out today!
